NEW DELHI: Transit media is set to get another extension in the country this time riding on two wheelers. Adscoots, a Mumbai based start-up is looking to offer this new advertising option to advertisers in India for the first time.


Suryash Trivedi Speaking to network2media about the concept, Suyash Trivedi, Founder and chief executive officer, said, “The idea is to offer an economic out-of-home advertising medium to marketers, especially to small and medium businesses. The unique advantage that this medium offers, is the monitoring capability to gauge the efficacy of the medium.”


The new kid on the Transit Media block Explaining the tracking mechanism that this medium intends to offer to its clients, Trivdei explains, “Our scooters will be equipped with GPS based tracking capability. Also, since the scooters will run on designated routes decided by the marketers, the marketers would be able to track the movement of the scooters.”


The company is planning to start this service with an initial fleet of 5 scooters. However, Trivedi explains that the company has a system in place to easily convert more scooters into these special advertising vehicles within a very short period.


The size of displays on these scooters will be 24”X48”X30”. The displays will have lighting in order to have nighttime visibility. To begin with, the company plans to start operations in the rural belts.
