MUMBAI: With the ad sales market gaining traction, BEST TV, promoted by Mumbai-based Emnet Samsara Media Pvt Ltd, has expanded the top-end of its sales team to leverage the emerging opportunities. The company has appointed three senior media professionals with cumulative experience of over 65 years to spearhead the sales force, with Nutan Sen joining as vice president – sales, and Tullika Rastogi and Viveck Vaidya appointed as associate vice president.
Speaking about the team expansion, Punit Gupta, CEO, BEST TV, told network2media that the objective was to get the sales team to cover the market comprehensively. BEST TV is also working toward two major projects for which it required a stronger sales team.
Gupta said the senior professionals will support BEST TV’s new initiatives and the activities leading up to the new contracts. The company is also exploring for partners who can participate in the new projects “strategically and financially”.
Talking about the new role, Sen said her rich professional experience will complement the effectiveness of the BEST TV medium in “getting corporate clients on board”.
“BEST TV is an interesting advertising medium having lot of scope for advertisers across the country,” she said. Sen has worked for over 20 years with leading groups such as ABP, Chitralekha, Amar Ujala, Asian Age and Indian Express.
Tullika Rastogi commented that ”TV in bus while you travel is an exciting medium. For the advertisers, this is a new genre. It can provide frequency and serve as a recall medium”. Rastogi is a media ad-sales professional with around two decades of experience in sales, marketing and team management. She has worked with Observer, Sunday Observer, IndusInd Media, Hathway, Live India, NDTV, among others.
 Viveck Vaidya, an MBA and law graduate, has worked with National Films Development Corporation (NFDC), Hinduja TMT, Raj TV, and Triveni Media’s Voice of India. At NFDC, Vaidya was involved in export and import of feature films. At Hinduja TMT, he headed the media wing and was part of the CAS core group. He was also responsible for marketing and revenue generation for all HTMT media channels. In 2006, Vaidya joined Raj TV as AVP (west) and in 2008 joined Voice Of India as head - sales. BEST TV is gearing up for a major sales push with the three senior pros on board. The company’s focus of attention is now on the new contracts that are under negotiations. Also read:
