'Mobile' branding, repeatedly making its mark in South Africa SOUTH AFRICA: Eskom in reminding its customers of the sterling contribution they have made to the country has expanded its Thank You campaign in major metropolitan areas utilising SP Media’s branded buses.

SWP Media“This current campaign sees a fleet of 32 Eskom branded buses travelling across Gauteng, Tshwane, Bloemfontein, Durban, Cape Town and the Eastern Cape,” says Charl Timms, CEO of SP Media.

“The buses are only branded at the back, which really works well in this particular campaign because of the Creating 'Roving' yet impactful branding presence impact it has on commuters. This three month campaign expands on the successful regional Thank You campaign Eskom ran recently in the print media.”

From 2004 Eskom embarked on a free CFL exchange programme resulting in over 43 million Energy saving light bulbs being distributed nationally, contributing to a saving of 1800MW of power.

“Once again this form of alternative advertising is a great medium for any business to further enhance their message to their customers. Where better for Eskom to continue mobilising an energy efficient culture in South Africa and addressing the energy demand issues this country is currently faced with, than on a mobile medium able to remind end users on a daily basis.”
