PRETORIA: ABF Vital Support Fund has entered into a media sponsorship deal with Insight Outdoor to the value of R1,50000. The package includes a three month Citilight campaign which is available to the highest bidder. The offer includes printing and is subject to availability in the Pretoria/Tshwane area.
Sharlene Vallance, vice president of the ABF said, "Our relationship with Neil Jones and his team is fantastic. Not only does Insight Outdoor provide us with media space to sell, but they support us at all fundraising events as well. It is very seldom that a committed working relationship of this nature is sustained. We sincerely appreciate Insight Outdoor's commitment to our organisation."
The ABF are able to sustain its cash flow through ongoing donations of this nature. With more and more people asking for assistance, it seems that the trend is growing rather than declining. ABF treasurer Riana Stander explained, "Participating in the Validation Committee, one tends to see the other side of life. I recently spent the day with one of our social workers and got to see the tougher side of life. The ABF are simply a stop gap, almost offering bridging assistance when it is most desperately needed. There are many more people who could do with much more money than we are able to provide. We would like to thank Insight Outdoor for this sponsorship as it makes a material difference in people's lives."
The ABF gains charitable donations through its core membership base and fundraising events throughout the year. Another chief source of income is generated through media packages provided by media owners similar to that of Insight Outdoor. These donated packages are either auctioned at a fundraiser or sold on to the highest industry bidder.
