JOHANNESBURG: MoneyGram offers clients convenient flexibility in transferring money across the globe and understands that various consumer and business sectors have different needs. The company recognises that there are millions of people in South Africa who would benefit greatly from the service if they were informed as to how safe and effective the whole process is, which is why, MoneyGram commissioned ComutaNet to engage commuters at one of South Africa's busiest stations in a highly impactful manner.
The medium selected? ComutaNet's 'Mega' billboard! This impressive structure is one of the biggest billboards in the Southern hemisphere with dimensions sure to attract the attention of a diverse range of people. The 3.85m by 149.7m creation is highly visible to the thousands of commuters that travel through Johannesburg's Park Station each day.
Park Station is a hive of commuter activity with over 18,084,640 people passing through monthly to all parts of South Africa and neighbouring states. Commuters include those utilising taxis, day to day busses, Rea Vaya, luxury busses, trains, the popular Metrorail Business Express and as of July 01, 2011, the Gautrain – which will substantially increase the numbers moving through the station being exposed to the 'Mega' billboard.
Michele Munro, MD and owner of MMAP Integrated Outdoor Solutions Company, said, "When we saw that the ComutaNet's magnificent 'Mega' billboard had eventually become available, we immediately thought of MoneyGram, as the location of the site is a perfect touch point for MoneyGram to reach their consumers. MMAP took the opportunity to Yellow Ribbon, MoneyGram's innovative media agency and the concept was bought instantly."
