 JOHANNESBURG: David Green Eyewear has selected Unlimited's pioneering roving advertising platform brandyourcar.com to ensure that consumers 'Spot the Car and Win' through a social media call to action until May 2012.
brandyourcar.com has been briefed to target LSM 7 – 10, fulltime employed consumers, aged 25 - 45 who commute in peak hour traffic. For the campaign, only vehicles of similar make and model were branded, to ensure that consumers do not identify with one particular vehicle.
The primary objective of the moving media campaign is to raise brand awareness and alert consumers to the David Green Eyewear 'Spot the Car and Win' competition, where should consumers take a photo of the branded vehicle and post it to the David Green Eyewear Facebook page, they stand a chance to win a pair of DGE sunglasses.
 brandyourcar.com's Jeff Ostrom explained, "Joburg is a high traffic hub and an ideal environment for brandyourcar.com to engage its network of privately owned branded vehicles, ensuring that the communication is visible at busy shopping centres and other areas where target consumers spend extended time.
We selected high mileage drivers and highway users to ensure significant reach for David Green Eyewear. Campaign participants became instant brand ambassadors by receiving a free pair of David Green sunglasses."
David Green Eyewear has linked the branded vehicles to its Facebook page and is capitalising on the social networking and Twitter to provide information to consumers about the moving media campaign and the 'Spot the Car' competition.
"David Green Eyewear is our first client to merge digital and social elements with the branded vehicle platform. We believe that the combination of moving media, social media and personal engagement will provide David Green Eyewear with the desired awareness", added Ostrom.
