AAI offers ad-rights on conveyer belts at Chandigarh airport

CHANDIGARH: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invited bids from reputed firms under the 'two packet system' offering advertisement rights on two conveyer belts at the Civil Air Terminal, Chandigarh. The contract will be awarded for three years and will attract a minimum reserved license fee of Rs. 93,700 per month. The earnest money deposit (EMD) required is Rs. 1 lakh.

As per the eligibility criteria specified, interested parties should have a minimum experience of two years in the advertisement display business or trolley management services at transportation centres like airports, seaports, railways, bus terminals etc.

All participating firms should be having a minimum annual turnover of Rs. 5,62,200, out of which, 50 percent should be from a similar business for which the tender is floated.

Interested parties should quote the license fee offered for the first year only. From the second year onwards, the license fee will bear an escalation of 10 percent over the previous year's fee.

Tender documents indicating full details of the license can be obtained on payment of Rs. 5,000 from the office of the senior manager (commercial), Airports Authority of India, civil air terminal, Chandigarh on any working day up to May 16, 2012.

The tender documents can also be downloaded from the website. In this case, the applicants will have to submit a demand draft, drawn in favour of the Airports Authority of India, payable at Chandigarh along with the bids.

Duly completed tenders should reach the above mentioned address latest by 3pm on May 16, 2012.

The technical bids shall be opened on the same day at 3.30pm.
