Konkan Railway offers 5-yr composite ad-rights

KRCLNAVI MUMBAI: The Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), Belapur, Navi Mumbai has invited sealed tenders under the ‘two-packet’ system offering sole rights contract for commercial publicity at 64 Konkan railway stations, ROBs (road-over-bridges) and RUBs (road-under-bridges) under three groups, namely, Maharashtra (from Kolad to Madure stations), Goa (from Pernem to Canacona stations) and Karnataka (from Asnoti to Thokur stations). The earnest money deposit (EMD) required ranges from Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 2.30 lakh.

The locations being proposed for displaying the commercial advertisements will include station platforms, concourses of booking offices and PRS centres, circulating areas, approaches to stations within KRCL territory, foot over bridges, road over bridges, road under bridges, railway bridges, boundary and other walls etc.

Successful bidders will be allowed to display advertisements through display boards, glow signs, scrollers, electronic moving displays, trivisions, show cases, balloons, unipoles, LCDs, LEDs, plasma screens, video walls, hoardings, wall paintings, provision of bill kiosk boxes or any other media with the approval of KRCL.

Under the terms, each group is being treated as a separate tender. Applicants will have to submit separate tenders for each group.

To be eligible for the contract, the applicants should have a minimum experience of two years in advertising field which may even be outside the railways and should have an annual turnover equivalent to 50 percent of the first year's reserve price.

The EMD required for Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka groups is Rs, 75,000, Rs. 2.30 lakh and Rs. 1.25 lakh respectively and the respective reserve price for first year is Rs. 7.50 lakh, Rs. 23 lakh and Rs. 12.50 lakh.

Tender documents costing Rs. 1,125 can be downloaded from the website. Applicants will have to submit the cost of the tender document in the form of a demand draft or pay order, drawn in favour of the FA&CAO, Konkan Railway, Belapur, Navi Mumbai along with the bids.

The tender documents will be available up to 4pm on May 24, 2012.

Duly completed tenders should reach the Office of the chief commercial manager, Konkan Railway, fourth floor, CBD- Belapur, Navi Mumbai – 400 614 latest by 3pm on May 25, 2012.

The tenders will be opened on the same day at 3.30pm.
