KOLKATA: The Outdoor Advertising Association at Kolkata is going to hold its 40th AGM and the election of its governing body on May 26, 2012 at Dakshin Kolkata Sangsad, Deshapriya Park, Kolkata.

Nirmal Thakur, the present secretary of OAA at Kolkata informed that approximately 128 media owners are going to participate in the AGM and would vote through ballot to elect the new governing body for a tenure of 3 years.

Thakur added that the new body would have to face lot of challenges as the state government is yet to frame the outdoor policies. Also, the new body will have to take initiatives to frame the guidelines for its members.

The election would be held for 15 posts including the posts of the president and secretary. The secretary and the executive committee will deal with the government departments as well as with clients and ad Agencies to frame the policies.
