NEW DELHI: MPG Active, the Out-of-Home media arm of the Media Planning Group(MPG), a Havas Group Company, has appointed Krishnamurthy Kari as its chief operating officer. Kari has over 15 years of experience and was earlier with Aircel as the head of Out-of-Home and activations.
In this role, Kari will be responsible for acquiring the network business for MPG Active. His key role will be to bring in the Out-of-Home experience and capabilities to the existing roster of MPG network accounts and deliver an integrated solution to the clients' needs.
Krishnamurthy Kari is a Business Management graduate from PSG Institute, Coimbatore and did his masters at Pondicherry University. He has over 15 years of experience spanning advertising and telecom. His last major stint was with Aircel where he was heading its Out-of-Home, events and activations division and played a key role in the telecom operator's national 2G and 3G roll outs and key product launches. Prior to Aircel, Kari handled key marketing roles in Bharti Airtel and Hutchison Essar. He was briefly part of a start up, leading its consumer engagement and retail division before moving on to this new role with MPG Active.
