Niloufer Dundh, former Chief sales officer, OOH Media

Niloufer Dundh recently stepped down as Chief Sales Officer of OOH Media, India’s first out-of-home TV screens venture. In a 16-year career in sales, she has worked in India, Muscat and Dubai, across different industries such as media (press, Internet, radio, television, OOH), and also the travel industry. Between 1994 and 2000, Dundh was in Muscat & Dubai, working for Swissair, Apex Publishing & Creative Advertising. Her India stints include working for India.com, Radio Mirchi as corporate sales head from December 2001 to March 2004); and Hungama TV of UTV Group as VP-sales (national sales head) from April 2004 to November 2006. Her last assignment was with OOH Media from December 2006 to July 2009. In this article, Dundh recalls the experience of setting up the new out-of-home format of TV screens in India.

Sanjay Shah, CEO, Navia Asia, has a rich experience of 30 years in the out-of-home industry. He is known for his ability to conceptualize, start and manage all phases of a project life cycle, from needs assessment to implementation. Shah began his career as a freelancer and then joined JWT as senior media manager, leading the team handling the OOH business for all JWT offices. From there he moved to Portland India (OOH specialist of GroupM) as deputy general manager - West & Central. In 2004 he joined Starcom MediaVest Group to set up StarSight as its CEO. Partho Dasgupta, was till recently the MD & CEO of Future Media India. He has had a background of initiating successful media startups from a scratch, creating substantial value for shareholders. Future Media aimed at offering consumer-brand engagement in the ambience of consumption. It was the ‘first venture of its kind' in Indian Industry, with the aim of aggregating consumption spaces as media properties. Prior to Future Media, Dasgupta was the Business Head of Times Global Broadcasting wherein he was responsible for the joint venture of Times Group with Reuters and the successful launch of the English news channel Times Now. Before the Times Now role, he was with Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd., managing the brand operations of The Economic Times. He also started the business of Times Multimedia and the ET Intelligence Group.
